And this final one my daughter took on the Isle of Man where she lives. Snowing over the Irish Sea....

Looks nice like that. It is when you must go somewhere in it or when it starts to melt and then refreeze. That is when it is not so nice.
My last car had four-season tyres but the new one has wide low profile summer tyres. I am dreading having to use it in the snow.

It looks gorgeous @Sheal ...if you don't have to venture far and until it starts to melt.

Beautiful Sheal ... to look at. The horses/ponies want their coats. I thought your daughter lived in Canada and son in America.

                This is weather related:
Today I put some Kitchen waste in the compost bin, the hundreds of Red Worms that were in the lid were frozen, help I don't want loose them.
I did stir the compost and added some paper.

@john558 the worms could die, but they would have layed eggs that are protected.

Oh thanks for that Logan. I will check my other compost and pinch a few from there.

Thanks everyone for you kind responses. :)

Haha @Upsydaisy! Would you believe I'd waited two and a half weeks for a doctors appointment at the surgery which was today and thought it very unlikely I would get there. The appointment was this afternoon so Mr S and I spent a good while this morning removing snow from our 140ft gravel drive to get the car out - not an easy task. We were also glad to see a snow plough clearing the road. Just as we left home there was a snowstorm which meant a second gear, two mile drive, to the end of our road. Surprisingly I arrived at the surgery on time.

You are right @Victoria. :) I have two daughters and my elder daughter still lives on the Isle of Man.

I wouldn't worry they will find their own way there.
