Superb photos of a beautiful part of the country Stephen. Thanks for sharing. :dbgrtmb:

Done Snowdon a couple of times and those pictures certainly do it justice. Did I spot a couple of shots of the Crib Goch in there? Still have nightmares about the time I tried that path. :yikes:

Thanks guys! Indeed Crib Goch and Y Lliwedd, which look similar and make up the Snowdon Horseshoe. I didn't do Crib Goch, though I might next time, but did have a hairy, very steep descent down to the valley below Y Lliwedd which, had I not hung on, would have been curtains for me (don't know what possessed me to take the sheer face down) but even that was fun!

The only time I did Snowdonia, I did Crib Goch and without training. I swear I can still feel the lactic acid in my thighs. :) :) Mind you, I was trying to beat my brother who's a mountaineer up there and I just, only just, managed it. My overriding memory is of looking down on top of a helicopter flying below.

Crib Goch isn't technically difficult it just puts the wind up you.. and can be psychologically daunting.. that's why I want to do Lliwedd first, because it's like Crib Goch/Crib y Ddysgl but less psychologically daunting.
