    Hi

I'm always asking questions, hopefully one day I'll have the time/knowledge to answer some...

I've received a very large box of snowdrops in the green which appear to have got very hot while in transport as almost all the leaves have gone to a slippery mush. The actual bulbs look fine. Sending them back to the supplier is not really an option - long story I won't bore you with at the mo.

My question is, is there a good chance of them being ok to grow/flower next year if I plant them now? It will be a horrible slimey job to do, but I really don't want to waste them if they've got a chance.

    Thank you in advance.

    Wren

50/50 chance Wren. Pop them in your border and cross your fingers, they may have had a chance to build themselves up. They are sturdy little blighters and I've planted many that had been dug out and discarded and now have drifts of them each Spring.:)

Slimy job indeed, but as Paladin says, as long as the bulbs are in good condition themselves they should survive. Ours are beginning to die down now in any case so yours may not have lost too much goodness.

Thanks to you both. I'm going to get out there now and stick them in while the sun is shining and then hope for the best.

    Wren.

    :gnthb: Good Luck!
I've just split about a dozen clumps to thin them out and the spare ones are destined for friends.
