A grey day over your way, Paul, but I love the pics. Those great open spaces and the icicles! The second one is really interesting with the bracken and the grass encased. Well done!

Hi Pro! I agree with Sis, although grey just love the icicle pics and views. You obviously didn't think it was very cold. :D You are certainly in a beautiful part of the the UK.

Lol, not cold if you keep moving and I walk at a good pace!

Just added another nice icicle, might also post it in the Feb photo comp.

Good pics Pro. I seem to remember seeing somewhere on here that you can't enter a pic in the competition if it is elsewhere on GC. I may be wrong but it is best to check it out. If it is right you can delete it from here until the comp is over.

    Walnut,
The ascent is up the old service track to the resovoir and the trackway is drained by old castiron pipes. The water was gushing out and the spray frezing on the vegataion.

In the case of the last pic it was a twig the water had froze onto, I simply used digital zoom from about 4" away. Im disapointed that I didnt get the picture centralised, the screen on my canon Ixus is a bit small for doing close up pics.

Cheers shiney, Ill look that up.
