So proud of myself

    I am so proud of myself.

    Today, I took a wander into the haven of goodies that is opposite my place of work, also known as Squires Garden Centre, and wandered around in there for the best part of 30 minutes before coming out EMPTY HANDED!

    I had cash in my pocket too, and there were so many plants in there literally trying to cling to me to take them to a new home - - but I was strong, and I resisted.

    Best of all, I was entirely on my own, and had no adult supervision!

              There was one passiflora that literally snatched at my jacket as I walked past, whilst a neighbouring honeysuckle went for my hair - - I nearly had to pick up one of the pots just to get away :phew:

              I'm glad that I am not alone in resisting temptation - it seems that GC has a strong membership that is able to enjoy our habit in moderation. :huh:

                    :biggrin: Last time I tried leaving my wallet at home, the trip to the garden centre failed miserably - - I went with a colleague from work who simply whipped her credit card out with the wail "Don't miss a bargain - you can give me the money back tomorrow".....

                        It didn't last - had to go yesterday and get another load of compost (I am going through it at one hell of a rate), so ended up with 720 litres of that, and then when we went to Sainsburys, two huge pots 'found' me and jumped into my trolley :heehee:
