I think the one thing that would really get GC into the big league is to be able to load pics up direct from your PC.
I know there may or maybe not a facility for doing this, but if the pics have to be reduced in size dramatically then its a no go.

As to the new things up till now, cant say as I've taken much notice really.:)

    Cheers Pete.

I haven't looked into it myself yet but you can create albums for yourself within your profile.
I will investigate whether pics can be referenced to a thread from albums. Also attachments are being looked at but I personally don't know what capacity issues might arise from doing this.:thmb:

I have to finalise numbers of pics/total amount of space available per user.

Attachments are being tested by Richard and I believe they are working, not for general use yet though.

I myslef added a function to allow Youtube videos to be embedded into posts (which works), BUT, Richard will hopefully be uploading an easier to use version.

There are other things happening, but I will not spoil it all by telling everyone :D

I think the whole Rep power thing is riddiculose and not helpfull as is the Gc£s etc.

The whole site is becoming overcomplicated.

I sudgest a reversal back to the old format but keeping the security upgrades.

So the GC£s are for the virtual arcade then, yeah? So say someone who fills his once every now and then post, with helpful and intelligent information can only play a certain number of times because he has only a few virtual pounds? Yet a moderator can just give himself a million GC£s-for no apparent reason. And that is not unfair? No one here is overstepping the mark?

Someone said earlier on in a different thread that it is divisive to have what is tantamount to a popularity vote on the forum. It is. There is no way you can stop mates from voting for each other, there is no way you can prevent it from turning ugly.

I believe the rep function can be turned off. If you are concerned about your popularity I will investigate this for you :thmb:

Not being psychic, perhaps you could inform me as to how I would know the information you have just unkindly conveyed to me.

The discussion of mod actions is not the ONLY rule BM.

    1. RESPECT: Members will be respectful to ALL other members, staff and guests at all times.

    4. NO TROLLING: Members will not make numerous posts of a frivolous, unpleasant or meaningless nature just to boost their post count or to be deliberately annoying or insulting. Don't make posts that are inflammatory just to get people riled up. Substance is the key to not being labeled a troll
    8. NO OFF TOPIC POSTING : threads will not be deliberately derailed by off-topic posting for the purposes of causing disruption or dissent.

    11. NO PORNOGRAPHY: includes any and all pornographic, sexually offensive, sexually explicit, or objectifying material or language. Simple rule. Any sexually suggestive images will immediately be deleted and the member banned.

Bm, kindly do post how to remove the rep function....... Preferably permanently from the forum.

You may well have been testing the rep point systme but I would have asumed this would logically have been done by creating a new user using the mod tools setings in the way Daises has done with the (hidden) mod training thread/ area.
