Somebody has just given me a Solanum Glasnevin Chilean potato plant
growing in a pot. It's about 70 cm tall at the moment.

I already have one of these which I grow around an archway so I know how nice they look. But what I am wondering is whether I could grow this in a container on my patio and keep it to a "bush" shape?? Ideally I would want it to grow to maybe 1.5 metres high but to grow as a specimen plant as opposed to a climber. Would it survive frequent pruning to shape ?

No idea, only ever seen it as a climber on a wall. Frequent pruning might make flowers few and far between.
