    ive have a purple one and a white one and they did brilliantly last yeat untill the frost came i did think they were evergreen as my dads friend has one in malaga and lol has one that does well all year round .. will it be ok is it just our weather... hope they not dead [​IMG] ;)

    As you know, your Dad and I (NO, I'm not his Mum :rolleyes: ) have a completely different climate to the UK.

    I think you are pretty borderline for this shrub ... but do not give up the faith ... although they are evergreens here,, they do shed their foliage in cold winters. My friend here has one that is not only north facing but shaded by the house and his struggles with both leaves and blooms, although I massacre it for him a couple of times a year to encourage new growth.

    Hopefully yours is planted south facing. Just snip into one of the branches and see if it's green ... if so, you're in with a chance. If it breaks back brittley, that may not be good. But, give it a few months at least.

    I don't know anyone there in the UK who has one (maybe strongy or pete) and perhaps they will come along to give some UK advice.

    Mine will be given a good trimming March/April as I like to keep it at 2.5 - 3 metres.

    orrr lol thats a stunning picture have you seen the white one in blossom yet will post a picture if it survives....thanks for the info hopefully someone in the uk will have one and tell me more........thanks mum :D

    well i had to replace them today as they bit the dust..bought two more but this years came with instructions (bring inside for the winter)...if they had told me that last year i would be 25 squid better off:mad:
