Advice please on the rate of soluble iron to the litre and how much to 100m2 to control/kill moss please. For a sprayer as I dont have the patience for a watering can.

Also what happens if no rain falls in the following 48hrs - does it need to be watered in?

    Is it possible to overdose?

I've used lawn sand in the past and I've always had patches that have been missed, so I thought I would try spraying.

    thanks

I use around a tea cup full of soluble iron to 10 litres of water, sprayed on using a green nozzle in a coopler pegler knapsack sprayer.

No harm if it doesn't rain and no way you can really overdose, just spray in a logical way so you don't overlap not that it will really matter.

I use a marker dye when turf spraying to avoid missing areas:

One tip is to mix the iron sulfate up in a separate bucket, mix to a paste then add more water till its dissolved and add this to the sprayer, obviously subtract this water volume from the total you are mixing and top up with water. Otherwise there is a tendency for the ironsulphate not to all dissolve.

I get my soluble iron from als:

Yes, it is a good nitrogen free green up with no extra growth and generally toughens the grass aswell as killing any moss .

Spray it on at the concentration bove or a bit stronger. Avoid getting any on paving as it will stain.
