    Hi,
I had 2 primrose plants in a pot, I noticed them looking a bit unwell so fed them, checked they weren't drying out.
Anyway they still browned off and then broke off, I noticed maggot like things under the stems in the soil, white with orange/brown faces and jaws.

The plants are dead but I daren't put the compost (from the pot) on the garden or in the compost heap for fear of releasing the beasties on my other plants.

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers
    D

 Well there are several different kinds of Thrips D it could be the larvae from one of them as they will totally devastate a plant & kill it very quickly once they hatch out...

Sounds a bit like vine weevil?

Spread the compost over the soil in the garden.

The birds will probably sort out the maggots whatever they are.
