      Looks like Helmsley or Richmond (the north yorks one) except that neither are on the coast, but I reckon Lyme Regis is the love child of Scarborough and either Richmond or Helmsley:)

          Or Chard with Blackpool, it would be like someone had detonated a 10 Megatonne Fatbomb over the place, forcing the locals to eat until they explode like Mr Creosote.

            last time I was in Lyme R. was circa 1985. Lovely Georgian / Regency town. Hopefully not spoiled now..............

            Suprisingly not ruined Harry, there have been a few newbuilds & they did take the entire cliff apart to underpin it a few years back but its still lovely.

            Felt sorry for the bloke that bought a house down by the harbour. It was unsafe & the council made him scaffold it & then demolish it. Just an empty plot for sale now.

            Stayed there back in the 60s.. Ahh memories.. We stayed in what I remember as a beautiful hotel on the High St I think & it had a covered garage at the back.. Strange what memories stick in your mind.. :biggrin:
