Work on my garden has been fairly slow since i was last on here. I spent February in New Zealand which i can't complain about at all! Had an amazing time and lots of sunshine, but I'm rather behind schedule with everything.

Last week I finished my oriental border which I'm really please with. It's designed to screen the conservatory off from where it's overlooked at the back, the original plan for the garden is in this thread: http://www.gardenerscorner.co.uk/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=12;t=000386

In the border is black bamboo (an ebay bargain), fatsia japonica, japanese iris, a daphne which my mum grew from a cutting, some evergreen and deciduous japanese ferns, and some grasses (which aren't particulary oriental but go with the ferns). Hopefully it'll look nice when the ferns have grown big.

Unfortunatly the rest of my garden looks like this:

So there's a lot to do, but it's great to have one corner almost done.

I've also been working on my new allotment. In the top left there's raspberries and other fruit. In the near corder there's garlic, chalottes and japanese onions all doing well (I think I might have overdone it on the onions - oh well!). In the far corner there's one section that's been dug and has carrots, beetroot, radishes, spring onions and chives emerging. The rest still needs digging but I've got rid of all the dandylions at least.
