    Hi Ladies.
Just to point out that sometimes its always good to know where your stop tap is!
I had a flood in my kitchen this morning  and I hadnt got a clue where my stop tap was! [IMG]
Why would I? hubby used to deal with such things.

Ours under the kitchen units has seized (fortunately in the open position) but at least we can turn it of in the road easily.
Hope it's cleared up now Mef.

Couldn't agree more, there is nothing worse than a flood. A similar thing happened to me just after we moved in. Husband went out to the pub & I decided to have a bath, the cold water tap top came off in my hand.. water shooting everywhere, so I phoned my sister who told me to use a potato. Well I never had a potato to cover the hole so I used frozen chips, which didn't quite work. Eventually my brother in law came over and found the stop cock. [IMG] What did my husband say when he got home, after my traumatic evening 'Women!'. I couldn't really argue with him. Lesson learned

Amazing the things you think of in a crisis. It's called improvisation :D

PS: I think our stopcock is under the sink - must check!
