Something bizarre is occuring!!!

I have tried to use the "Reply" button on a couple of threads tonight. The reply I aim to quote sets up ok in the reply box (initially!) but then ... the post begins filling with the "+" sign - repeatedly!!!!
So, what I see is: ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
ad infinitum!!!!!!

Now, to be fair, I have only tried to use the "reply" button on one person's posts, but on two different threads, and that is when the + sign goes mental (I have no hands on keyboard/mouse when this happens).

Indeed!! And it isn't even Halloween ... yet!

Intermittent sticky + key on the numeric keypad (would have to have been on a numeric keypad otherwise it would have produced ====== with simultaneously holding down the shift key). Despite being stuck on, nothing would have happened whilst simply viewing a post, only when you went to the text editor for a reply would they +++++ appeared
