I planted a young mint in my garden a couple of weeks ago, now, one third of leaves have been eaten by something, I found shiny trails on the plant, so must be slugs or snails, but do they eat mint leaves ? I thought they hate smell of mint :cnfs:

Yep, snails or slugs. If you have enough of it, the mint will grow faster than the pests can eat though!

Yep, I can't stand the little blighters. I am determined to have Echinacea again this year, but I've had to lift the plants and keep them in pots until they are big enough to withstand attacks. Same goes for the Day Lilies. The patio looks like a nursery at the moment!
