Somewhat remiss

    Hi to everyone,talk about cart before the horse im sorry im late on the introductions but here goes,lve just started the veg garden after i had to retire with heart failure,we have a large garden with various trees and shrubs etc,but no veg plot so my dear wife allowed me to have some trees cleared so l could have a veg plot and this is my first go at it so im hoping with the advice from within the club l can achive some sucess and maybe give some advice on the way as what not to do for newcomers such as myself,so thank you in advance for your friendship and advice

    Hi again, sorry I didn't see this when I read your comment in the Mole thread. I hope you are recovering somewhat, presumably you retired to Stithians so hopefully you prefer it there!
    Hope you enjoy the site, I think it is excellent , always someone to help, and also chat and joke if you want.

    Hello & welcome Mcleaf!!!!

    Sorry to hear about your health, hope the retirement gets that back!!! I was reading a magazine article this afternoon about how gardening is good for the health......

    All I can say is make sure you have an endless supply of freshly brewed tea, a super sheltered corner to sit in, a comfy chair, and by-the-way - you have to sit out there for hours on end just soaking in the atmosphere before you can do any serious work - its all in the planning!!!!! ;) ;)

    ... home grown veg is the best!! and with your climate down there, you'll be harvesting spuds for Christmas dinner!!!! :cool:
