Chuffed to bits with the new pocket camera. I'm still getting used to it and due to it being largely menu driven I'm finding it more difficult to exercise fine control than my DSLR. However the results from full-auto seem pretty good. It seems to have a better brain than I have!!
A great bit of kit for trekking around the hills with as it hangs from a hook on my rucksack and this means I don't have to stop and scrabble about in the bag whenever I want to snap off a shot. Video results are quite stunning too and it does auto panoramas as well.

Some shots from a trip early this month to Beinn Eighe nature reserve near Kinlochewe.
All as off camera with no processing other than reduction in size.

Wide angle (the campsite. And having just reviewed this post the pic has lost resolution in the transfer to and from photobucket)

Zoom from same spot as the above photo but looking at the top of the mountain top right in above pic

Macro (still trying to get used to this as it kicks in automatically when you get close enough to the subject and focus is a bit difficult to control

Landscape mode (up hill all the way and me showing Mrs W a good time:lollol:)

Sherpa, photographer and pathfinder (I kindly let Mrs W take this one)

    Good pictures Dave.:thumb:

I've got a cybershot from a few years ago, still takes good pictures but it looks like they have come on a bit since then.

Hi Dave I too have recently bought same camera I so love it ,fits neat in pocket etc.

Still finding it hard with macro hit or miss sometimes.

But when H&son go hillwalking they much prefer to take a long my camera with them.

They did Lochnager on Saturday past and got bitten to bits with midgies.

I have just replaced my Sony with a Leica. The Sony served me well. Glad you are enjoying it. Your pics look good

Looks to be a great bit of kit Dave. And you are correct in saying we do lose resolution on images because of the process they have to go through to get to these pages.
