So what can i be doing now to contribute towards my lovely garden? :D

My early sown sweet peas are doing awesomely. All between 3 inches and 7 inches tall now. Should i look at separating them, and if so, how many seedlings per what size and shape pot?

What else can i sow and plant now? Not that i'm trying to distract myself or anything!

Geraniums need a long time from seed.

Hi, Whiley, Blue. I've just planted Tomatoes and Petunias. Those are both indoors. I've also planted carnations, they're in the cold frame 'cause they germinate under colder conditions. The Sweet Peas I'd leave a little longer unless they're under heat. If you've got them in a heated G/house you can do what you like with them, although, it is suggested that you treat them tough. Once they're 4 leaf high put them in a cold frame. [IMG]

Gert stuff i'll leave the sweetpeas for a while then, as they're in the conservatory, not warm but not frosty! They've done amazingly! If carnations do well in those conditions i'll get a few of those going too! Petunias sound nice. I take it these are all seedtray germinators?

Hi Whiley. Sorry for the delay I was off-line for a little while. No, none of my stuff is in germinators. They're in the Dining Room, on the floor by the patio doors. (South-facing). With signs saying "Danger De Mort", for the benefit of the g-children :D

Hi Whiley I too have already sown my sweetpeas quite a while ago before christmas.
They are doing remarkable well I sown them into individual pots in a tray with newspaper over the top of them, 'they' never had any warmth (other than the newspaper) as I put them right away outside in my cold frame. They germinated really quick no chills or frost has bothered them and that's saying a lot because the temperatures we have had of late have been really low....you know the old saying treat them mean keep them keen!

Right, my poor sweetlings are flopping over each other now. Time to go in pots with sticks? Perhaps move them closer to the conservatory door so they catch a bit more of a chill as an alternitive to a cold frame?

Would several long narrow pots to trans plant them into be ok? How many cms length apart?

I've put the Sweet peas straight out on the patio, in the open. I'll only bring them in if they forecast a frost. That was following advice from a "Sweet Pea" site. Sorry, can't remember which one [IMG]

Would seeds germinate in a cellar or in an unheated greenhouse at the moment or would it be too cold? I don't have a lot of room in my house but I do have a nice big cellar and a greenhouse ready and waiting!

Is there no way you can put heat into your greenhouse I think your cellar would be to dark just a little warmth will get them going

I bought a little paraffin heater, just not plucked up courage to use it yet!! will that make my greenhouse warm enough to germinate them then?
