    ON THE LAST BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND IN MAY - 28TH & 29TH

    OPEN TIMES
    SATURDAY 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
    SUNDAY 2 p.m. – 5 p.m.


    Building on the previous years' very successful openings (the charity once again received more than the previous year's record of over £4,000)
    Mr And Mrs Shiney invite you to enjoy a walk around their garden
    and relax over some delicious homemade cakes and a cup of tea or coffee
    There will be the usual large amount of plants for sale


    A book stall with many almost new best sellers

    On Saturday

    As usual I shall be giving a private tour to GC members at 11.30 on Saturday and you are then welcome to join Mrs Shiney and myself for a sandwich and a cuppa. If you are unable to make it for that time then you will still be most welcome any other time - but you may miss meeting the other members.

    We are half way between junctions 7 and 8 on the M11 (15 minutes from both) and 15-20 minute from Hertford and Chelmsford. For those of you flying in to Stansted we are 15 minutes from there as well.

    PM me for detailed driving instructions
    and, if you shall be staying in the area overnight, links to accommodation.

    A lot of the members that turn up on the Saturday join us for a curry at a local restaurant in the evening. Everyone's welcome.

      Above is the invite and I hope that as many of you as possible can come along.

      It's a good time to meet other GC members, swap plants (no problem with that at all) and have a good time.

      Some members that come a distance tend to come down on Friday and stay overnight in B&B's. some also stay two nights in order to have a leisurely drive home on Sunday.

      If you're thinking of staying overnight then it may be better to book the B&B early. although there's not much else on locally it is Bank Holiday so they may get busy.

        I had planned on being in the country around that time but unfortunately have had lawyers, auto mechanics and other professionals emptying my wallet of late.

            @shiney :sad: So sorry but im already booked that weekend its when i visit my dear friend whose recovering from cancer bless her and sadly shes nowhere near you to combine the trips :gaah:Looks to be an amazing day/weekend that i'm missing out on :frown:...just thinking of all the gawjus plants that could have found a new home with me :cry3: ...Meeting some of the lovely GC er's and not to mention the scrummy cakes :whistle: Wishing you all a FAB and successful day :blue thumb: will have to contend myself with the piccys :spinning:
