I was driving along the A38 to Lichfield one Sunday early 90s, anyone who knows this road will appreciate it is a race track.I was probably doing approx 70 mph, when I was passed by a motorcycle like I was standing still, I felt physically ill at his speed.I do frequently check my mirrors, and recall he was not in them.
Some days later in evening newspaper was an article on a motorcyclist caught speeding on Sunday on the A38. Police were unable to give his exact speed as their radars only went up to 140 mph. They had used road blocks to stop him.

I think the "RAF letter" back to the Police was a bit tongue in cheek. RAF aircraft do not activate the radar on missiles to acquire targets unless on exercise. Also the missile will not pick up and acquire a "lock on" without it being identified as a "bogle" even in real live fire. :snork:
