Is there anything I can add in my compost bin to speed the process up. I can now see it beginning to compost but the vegetable peelings etc are taking longer, How can I even it out?

    Thank you

You don't say whether you have an open or enclosed compost bin. If its open then an old carpet over the top will help keep the heat in and thus speed the process up. If you don't mind using chemicals J. Arthur Bowers 'Garotta' is an additive which you sprinkle on as you add layers of material. I'm sure there are also organic additives. Type compost additives into Google!

Thanks for that, My compost bin has a lid on it, but I'll look on google as you advise.
