Spell checker

    Is it me, or is it just firefox that has an "as you type spell checker" I wonder because it would make life much easier if everyone had a spell checker. (and used it)

    I get fed up trying to figure out words like freiend, cus, woz, wot I know we are all of different abilities, but a spell checker makes the field more level for everyone.

    I use Firefox and it doesn't check my spelling on this forum :scratch: The spell check box is ticked in options.

    Using the Google toolbar spellchecker is now causing posts to dissappear whilst drafting, and only clicking on 'More Options' brings it back the first time, 2nd time you need to click on Preview after spellchecking to restore the draft post. Never had this problem before with old GC or on any other forum.

    It may be relates to the WYSIWYG editor. But I get the red wiggly-underline on spelling mistakes using Chrome [browser]

      When it comes to the words "Cuz", "Woz", "Wot", etc, people would still use them despite the spell checker, as they are a kind of slang sometimes used in humour and sometimes to bring the conversation down a level or two.........yu kno wot I mean bro? Besides, I'd much rather have a mis-spelt post or pm and be able to enjoy the gist of it than some dry, well spelt post that failed to really communicate with me.:biggrin:
