:thumb: I do like my spicy chutneys, this is gorgeous, but it is quite sweet.

4lb cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced
    2lb onions, peeled and chopped
    2 tspn cinnamon
    1 tsp Allspice
    1 tspn ginger
    2 pinches ground cloves
    1 level tbspn salt
1 pt cider vinegar or distilled white malt viegar
    6 oz sultanas
    2lb brown sugar

Put sliced apples, chopped onions, all spices, salt and vinegar into a pan. Bring to the boil, cover and simmer ofr 30-40 mins until fruit is pulped. Remove lid and boil to evaporate liquid, stirring occasionally. Add sugar and sultanas and heat gently to dissolve sugar stirring all the time, until mixture is thick and there is no liquid lying on top (takes about 20 mins). Pour into warmed jars. Seal when cold.

:thumb: Keeps well, 1st batch done now..!!! :)
