:help:Yesterday I have been in the garden -which is a bit of a rainforest in a sense- in my slippers and now i have one bite of unknown animal (or insect) which consists in two dots about 6mm away from each other in perfectly straight line which are definitely not mosquito bites or fleas bites (I know those well).
I have thought of an adder bite, but that would be much more painful and dots more away from each other...This one is a little itchy but definitely a bit swollen -definitely not a scratch. Any idea?:gaagh:

    Hi
My mate Mags was bitten by a spider on her wrist and ended up in hospital so if it swells up any more and you feel sick , straight to A&E .

you may need antibiotics I know I am going over the top but I came back from EGYPT two years ago and only 1 bite from a sand fly I was so ill and nearly ended up in hospital but decided to see the nurse every second day for 3 months yes 3 months for it to be dressed and cleaned as the infection was the SA from MRSA !!!!!

12 MONTHS in total before it was all sorted out , its a fab scar

if it was a adder you would of known before it let go :gaagh:

If there are only two dots, then surely they will be in a straight line:)

Could they be ant bites? I've been bitten by ants in the garden, they are horrible irritating little things. They make little red itchy dots and ants are aggressive little things. Spiders on the other hand usually get out your way rather than bite. That said, I have been bitten by a spider (here in the north of England, so theoretically nothing too venomous), and it hurt like hell. I felt the nip, which didn't really hurt, but within minutes my hand started throbbing, and within an hour I had a massive swollen bruise covering the whole of my hand, with a small yellow puss filled lump right in the middle. Next came the burning sensation. Not agony, more like moderate sunburn. It took about a week to settle down, and about a month before all traces of the incident had gone.

Thank you for the answers. Better today, although the part is still quite stiff (just in the precise area where the bites are, not around it) and slightly more red than yesterday.

But I am amazed to see how it is just slighly painful if you fiddle with it, and very mildly itchy.

I was just so curious to know if it was a spider...

It was interesting to hear your experiences about bites, wow.

PS also my daughters were suggesting vampire, but I said, defiitely not, because they bite on the neck and not in the daytime.

Agree with Clueless ants can give a very nasty bite, I've had a few a couple on my ankle that swelled and spread up my leg then went purple like a huge bruise, itched like mad, hubby was even going to take me to hospital thought I had blood poisoning, luckily this time of year the antihistamine I take for hayfever seem to stop any reaction.
Glad yours is feeling better today miraflores :)

I have been bitten a couple of times by Jumping spiders & once by a Hobo Spider when we used to go regularly to stay with relatives & friends in USA.. The jumping one made me ill for about 4 days each time, darned painful too & it is considered nothing at all really.. The Hobo bite took months to clear up & was painful too...
