I know a lot of you will probably scream straight away and I know Saturday has been a sports day on BBC for many years but please tell me why we have to suffer shuffles all over the place for it?

Football, the only thing I know of that we've done well of in the last 30 years,, now has dominance over everything. BBC's 2 main channels are showing tennis constantly:mad: Golf is on other main channels.

Sorry but I don't like it. I don't mind sport at all, as long as I don't have to join in:D, but why oh why put just these sports on. What about all the others that are happening? I would rather watch gymnastics or swimming, maybe hockey or something. Give the others a chance.

Note to tv produces: Please don't keep putting on the same old c**p films year after year. It only takes a few times to be put off a 'channel' then i think you'll find people don't go back. :eek:Doesn't apply to me on here does it? Just going off now to change profile:D Bare with me friends, don't know where that came from - well I do, do you wan't me to explain..........my friends say I'm tied up now, please do not answer:D

    cheers

The 'WWW' may have been invented for us that didn't like sport(sorry mate, quicker to type than to go in to 'smiley' stuff.

How many will talk to me now:)

Tricky one this borrowers. I do how ever disagree with the same coverage of the same sport on different channels being shown in tandem.

If you have Sky, then you do get a greater choice, but why have to pay a BBC license fee for lets say BBC1 and BBC2 showing the same thing. Even the so called digi-boxes are extremely limited.

Although there are ways around even Sky, which you can get for free, but I couldn't possibley say how, as it's generally illegal, heh, heh.

I like watching Wimbledon but don't sit glued to the TV for every game and it is only on once a year.Always try to watch the finals though this year Mr Kandy will want to watch the British Grand Prix so I expect that they will both clash.

I used to like football when I was in my teens, then I got into things like the Horse of The Year programmes, then Babmington Horse Trials.I also got into cricket at one point until I saw the light:DI then went on to watching all the snooker matches and now don't really watch anything avidly because I have far more interesting things to do outside than be glued to the TV all weekend.AND,I have never been a big fan of Rugby where all these over large men all enjoy jumping on the top of each other:eek:

I like the Tour De France...we never bet on who's going to win, just who is going to be drug tested and fail...now that's a great sport...Dope the Dope:thumb:

On the subject of Tour de France - I read a novel about this once! It was from a woman reporters point of view and although had the usual stuff about how lovely she was etc etc 'boring', it did give a little insight into how much the riders do put into the race and how each stage is worked out.

Must have learned something from it so that's good isn't it? I think the writer was basing it on a true life experience.

The Nut - Whiskey Galore???!!! :)

    cheers

Tweaky all sport is riddled with drug taking cycling is the most tested even the media search all their bins etc looking for evidence of drugs, Lance Armstrong used to be woken in the night and tested as nobody would believe anyone could win the tour that often,in some sports they can miss a test and get away with a smacked wrist, we have one woman athlete competing in the olympics this time she was guilty of missing tests another athlete who was proven to take drugs now also wants wants to compete in the olympics now his ban is finished, they should be banned for life.
