Hi, i'm new to the forum and still consider myself a novice to growing (although getting some success with succulents and propagation.)

Just wondering if one of you sages give a shout as to what caused the discoloration of the leaves on this Dracaena Masssangeana? It was transported and took a week to get to us but the medium wasn't dry to the touch. Can a change in temp do this? My main concern is that it is recoverable. Plenty of reason to believe as there are plenty of green leaves.

I think it will grow out of it although those damaged leaves obviously wont recover.
I'm thinking maybe the leaves were damaged during packing/delivery.
Unlikely to be a watering problem but it does make a really nice plant not look good.

Thanks for taking a look Pete. To add to your point, the soil in the stem sheaths show tell me that the plant was tipped at some point. The retailer offered fifty percent off which I guess is fair but only if it doesn't die! I will have to pull the worst leaves and see if the new shoots make it.

I really think it will be ok and 50% off is good, you can take the worst leaves off but personally Id put up with it for a while, with the days getting longer it should soon grow away.
