Usually females at that size rather than males, well captured image though.

Our Great Pyrenees kills snakes. It is enlightening to watch her stalk one, dive in, snatch it and shake it to death. A few weeks ago, she cornered up a copperhead, (venomous) in some logs and was barking up a storm. We took the flashlight to see what the ruckus was about and one of our dumb sheep was sticking her nose to it. It was coiled and ready to strike. We didn't want a snake bit ewe, so my husband got the garden rake and smashed it's head. Someone forgot to tell our dog the snake was dead, she continued to stalk it. She finally snatched it and shook/bit it in half. She HATES snakes.
