I've had a similar Hozelock to that for about 5 yrs now, its still ok, I do take it off the hose in winter and put it in the shed to stop water freezing inside it.
You can get brass ones, its just a matter of how much you want to pay.

I buy cheap ones in my local builders merchant. They only last a couple of years but the last one cost me £2.95. We treat ours harshly so they don't tend to last anyway.

If it lasts a long, long time then I don't mind paying.

I'd love a high quality brass one with multiple spray options like the Hozelock. Would also need to be of a type that can be taken apart relatively easily for any required repairs.

Some years ago I bought an all metal one and I don't think it lasted very long tbh.

I don't know if anyone makes any thing that can be taken apart these days, they don't really want you mending anything. :nonofinger:
