Spring Bulbs Planting

Is it too late to plant bulbs for spring in a border ?or can you recommend what to plant for a spring too early summer show by planting now.

It's not set in stone though and the weather milder than normal so you might get away with planting those bulbs that (according to the guide) should have been done last month. Your main problem will be choice in the shops as a lot of the good ones will have been snapped up now but if you just want a good display and aren't bothered by specific flowers, you'll still find them for sale.

 

I'd be tempted to plant something if you can find them to buy. I tend to work on the theory that I know what month it is .... plants (bulbs included) only know what the weather's like.

 

If you can still find some bulbs Tattie I think they would be fine planted now.
Also if you can find some trays of Polyanthus thay will give you a lovely spring display.

 

We were in Homebase today. No bulbs for sale, but they were there a couple of weeks ago. Maybe give Wilkinson's a try.

 

Mine think it is spring, but they're pretty nonetheless.
