Is it too soon to order spring bulbs for next year? :rolleyespink: (I know they won't arrive until late summer/early autumn). I have a feeling if I don't order now, I'll forget what I want to add, and what I've already got.

Also, I planted tulips this year, but I want to relocate them. They're just about past their best, now. When can I dig up the bulbs, and when should I re-plant them? (Again, I'm worried that if I leave them, I'll forget where they are).

All you can do is contact the companies that you would like to order from and ask them when they are publishing their bulb catalogues then order straight away.
Until then why not make wish list and perhaps make a plan of your garden noting the changes you want to make. And also put plant labels where the bulbs are now.

With the tulips the advice is the same for any bulb. It's best to leave them in their positions for 6/8 wks after flowering to allow the bulbs to build up for next year..
However, I'm not sure about this but something in the back of my mind is telling me that unless they're species varieties they don't like being transplanted or moved.

I think I'm going to risk moving them, because I don't really like them where they are. If they come back next year, bonus. If not, so be it.
I might tie string around them, so I can find them once they've finished flowering.
