"I wonder where de boidies is"!

Well, it must be spring because I just planted some hollyhocks and delphiniums roots to go along with all the foxgloves that are showing.
Hopefully in for a tall summer! :dbgrtmb:

Anyone else hoping the frosts are over and got stuff planted in yet.

Frosts definitely won't be over here, Daisees.
We're at risk until the end of May and last year we even had a frost the 1st week in June !
I just have to plan accordingly.

We had a Bitter night last night... only just managed to keep the greenhouse above freezing!

I wish we werent going to have any more frosts... would make life a hell of a lot easier. As for cutting the grass... ours is ready, but I havent got the mower at our house yet

Deep frost in West Bay this morning, half an inch of ice on the bucket. Luckly I felt it coming & put protections on the spuds last night. They were fine this morning. Been out gardening since 7.30, only came in about half hour ago. Got loads of stuff in and things potted up for the market.

Temperature in cold frame at midday, 38c

All covered up again as I feel another frost coming.

A heavy frost here as well last night but the temp in the shade during the sunny afternoon reached 61F :dbgrtmb:

I was a bit concerned about the 160 begonias we potted up yesterday but they were uncovered and in the greenhouse.

We mowed the lawns a few weeks ago, dug over theflower beds and have been composting them again, still digging and weeding the veggie plot and made new edges on all the main lawns.

A clematis has started flowering :dbgrtmb:

We only got down to -1c here in Cheshire last night and with the sun out, but not as much as forecast, the cold was soon gone and I recorded 89f in the Greenhouse. There's no frost forecast for tonight thank goodness.
The primroses and daffs are flowering, the tulips are getting ready to flower and buds are forming and swelling more and more - so Spring is coming! A bit more sun and warmth and I'll be convinced that the Winter is just a bad memory.
