Forgive us for the thousand questions at the moment but were new to the veg growing malarkey

Weve sown sown sprout seeds in a tray in the greenhouse - there coming nicely - but do we leave them in the tray till there ready to go out into the raised bed or prick them out and grow them on in pots and when do we plant them out ? - also are radishes best pricked out or put straight outside ?

    Cheers Carl

    Hiya Carl.

I'd pot up the Sprouts and keep them in a light, cool-ish spot with a view to planting out maybe early May? Try to harden off before planting. When I've grown them, I usually plant quite deeply, right up to almost the top of the plant. Give them a good 'firming' in too:blue thumb:

Keep in the greenhouse for now, but move them on (coldframe) in maybe a couple of weeks? It's about trying to keep the growth going, but not letting them grow too fast, I'd say. As with a lot of stuff, slow but sure is the aim, imo:blue thumb:

I would definitely get them as cool as possible, they grow too soft if they have much heat. Greenhouse sounds rather warm to me, unless the vents open early to keep the heat down?

Our greenhouse has all auto opening vents (5 on one side 2 on the other ) so the temp doesn't get too warm in there at the moment - but when there big enough to pot on ill try and keep them cool
