Hi deano. I'm a bit surprised that they are flowering. When did you plant them out ?

Its far too early for sprouts to flower, I reckon you've got Purple Sprouting Broccoli there. Is it one or two fairly big flower heads on the top of the plant (if so its PSB). Sprouts will flower all the way along the stem, but its the wrong time of year for them to do that.

You say planted inside? Inside a greenhouse or what?

Deano, it sounds as if they have gone to seed, cut the flowers off and hope for the best. But I wouldn`t hold my breath.:D

I know this year has been a little fast down on the allotments things harvesting quicker than normal but haven't heard of any sprouts flowering yet.

I agree with John it could well be Sprouting Broccoli now there's plenty of them gone to seed down on the plots you can see groups of their yellow flowers all over the place.Hel.xxx.
