I have a caravan in the middle of nowhere in Mid Argyll. There is just the caravan and two houses, one of which has a family of 5 red squirrels (mum, dad and 3 babies). I managed to get these pictures after sitting for only 5 mins in the silence that is the countryside.

Yes, no red squirrels around here as far as I know, plenty of grey, I am sure you will do your best to look after them, lovely pics. ;)

These are probably the most well fed squirrels in the country. The owner of the house, a good friend of mine, is constantly filling the bird table, making fat tubs, etc, and trying desperately hard to keep her cat away! Last year unfortunately the cat brought in two little squirrels, so now she has attached a ramp from the bird table to the tree, to try and stop the squirrels from going on the ground. So far so good.

What lovely pictures- and how good to see the red squirrel again. I've never seen them in UK, but used to see a lot in Germany in my youth. Some years ago now, I wonder if the grey is spreading there too?
The reds are so pretty and delicate with their tufty ears and plumy tails.
