When I was a child I did. My father was the stamp collector though. He had a collection consisting of all things medical. The stamps, to my childish eye, were uniformly grey and boring, unlike my nice brightly coloured ones from Ruanda-Urundi and so on. :)

I have both my daughter's and my mum's collections tucked away. Quite a few of the presentation sets they used to do for new UK stamps. My mum used to order one for herself and one for my daughter.

No but we do take the stamps from postage that is delivered (!!!!). We used to take these to the Oxfam charity which now has closed down here. But we still collect the stamps just in case we find another charity that will benefit from them.
