Started my pond today...

    ...almost. I forgot a minor detail like where the dug out soil was going to go.... ohhhh dear :D
    I'll be phoning for a skip then...!!

    Can you use the spare soil for creating a raised area like a rockery? ;)

    How big is the pond going to be, are you putting goldfish or carp in it. :eek:

    Informal or not,you have a lovely pond,and used the spoil for planting...Gosh,I'd love to come and spread a few handfulls of wild flower seeds in that scree :D

    Lovely pond affair going on there Roders, well done & thanks for the pics!

    I am digging it myself Liz, and I did think about a raised but, although maybe it'd end up more like a small mountain, lol!! :D

    It won't be massive, I've bought a 5x4m sheet to line it with so the pond will fit that, however big that makes it. I'm not having fish, just plants and hopefully frogs and owt else that wants to use it, so it may have to be deep-ish incase the froggies need to hibernate there [​IMG]

    my pond cost me �£5 a liner out of a sale an old carpet underneath it and old branches to edge it..and jay if you want any frogs please come here with a jam jar and help yourself..my pond was supposed to be for the birds...but i am over run with frogs..

    Awww, I love teddies too!! :D

    Jam jar Wildflower?? Sounds like I'd need a dustbin! :D I'd be happy to free you of some of your frog burden though ;) Will let you kbnow when I get the thing dug!
