Hi all, we had our lawn laid in turf last spring, it bedded on well and was maintained through till around October. Question is, when do we start mowing it again? I guess it's a 'piece of string' question, but I don't want to leave it till it needs to be strimmed!

    Thanks

P.s. Sorry in advance for the potential myriad of newbie questions, we're starting a new year with a new garden and were a bit clueless atm!

Put your cutting height on the mower to it's highest setting and cut your lawn when the ground is dry enough to do so, I've cut mine twice this year so far and it is due for another.

Ask away, no need to be sorry..

    Steve...:)

As we are promised a warmish dry spell for the next few days I plan to give my lawn its first high setting mow this weekend . When it springs back up again after about 3 days I will cut it to its normal length . As it has not wintered too well due to the heavy rain it will need a good scarifying and top dress + reseed .
Now what else could you spend your time and money on if you did not have a lawn
