seems to be impossible recently! Every time I leave GC, even for 5 minutes, I'm logged out:sad:
Is it my laptop or the site or my settings? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Ah thanks for the link, Zigs. I did have that on the old laptop, so will give it a go.
I cleared the cookies and that seems to have done the trick for the moment:dbgrtmb: We'll see tomorrow.....

          :heehee:

There's a free software called CC Cleaner that you can download and use to clear all cookies that sites put on your computer every time you visit them. It helps if you use it while shutting down the computer and it might help with this problem. You might also consider using two other free software programs one called "malwarebytes" and the other called "Spybot". I use all three free programs just before shutting down and it only takes minutes to do.......well worth it.:dunno::coffee::snork:

Cheers, Armandii:) I used all those many moons ago, but have been a bit lax with the new laptop, putting my faith in AVG to sort things out:redface:
It's strange, though, that it only happens with GC:dunno: I was starting to feel soooo unwanted:heehee:

I've gone a bit OCD regarding when I shut down the computer because I use Spytbot first, then CC Cleaner, then Malwarebyte, followed by my Bullguard vulnerabilities search and finally use Bullguard to optimise it before I shut down.:hate-shocked::doh::heehee:

Ah right....no wonder you get to do a lot of stargazing:roflol: I was rather enjoying the novel experience of the laptop closing down in 30 seconds flat:pcthwack:

Better ten minutes or less of cleaning out and clearing up any broken registry entries, cookies, etc than two hours of struggling with a slow computer or other problems!!!:dunno::whistle::gaah::heehee: I only wish it would work on the persistent cloud cover we've had for the last few weeks which has stopped me wheeling the scope out to gaze into the cosmos.

What a so-and-so! Hope it clears up for you next week! I tend to forget in winter how stunning the night sky is here, but it will soon be Spring:yahoo: The cranes have been flying North recently and they're never wrong!

:hate-shocked: They don't migrate to Portsmouth for the wwwwinter?? It's a big thing here when the 'grue' fly south...we all go into a deep depression and hibernate:biggrin: Then when they return, it's party-time:hapfeet:
Well, I've stayed logged in now for, oh, at least half an hour and the battery is running low, so will say 'goodnight' and thank you very much for your help!:ThankYou:
