    What are the differences between Stipa tennuissima and S. tennuisima 'Pony Tails'? And the same with Stipa calamagrostis and S. calamagrostis 'Lemperg'? Could anyone to write me sth about the color and shape of leaves and flowers, how hight it may reach..

    Annette not sure what your wanting here. Stipa tennuissima - is the genus and family of the plant, and S. tennuisima 'Pony Tails' is the variety of that family. Same with Stipa calamagrostis and S. calamagrostis 'Lemperg'. Can you clarify please although I don't know the varieties.

    I think what we are after here is the difference between the species, and the variety.
    Although I cant help any, as I know virtually nothing about grasses :rolleyes:
