stones or no stones??

    i have built a raised bed do i need to take out all the stones or will it be ok to have some in there and how long after digging can i start sowing vegatable seeds?

    If small stones then no and immediately!

    I don`t have any raised beds but I`m told small stones are good for drainage.Yesterday i was de-stoning a patch i was preparing for sweetcorn and the man with the next allotment to ours was shouting at me over the fence to "leave it be lass,you need a few stones for drainage!" :D

    Yep stones are very good for drainage, you don't want to get waterlogged! :eek:

    oh thats alright then me backs killing picking them up never ending ill chuck a few back in lol :D
