Strange Flowers

Just a few from 30 uploaded today from a Dutch friend, along with a note it is a pity none include notes identifying any.

6?

 

This would make a nice educational game.

 

1) I have seen this picture on the internet with the suggestion that it is a Pacific Giants Series Primula that might have been modified in photoshop.
2) Monkey Orchid - Dracula simia
3) Auricula
4) a whirligig Osteopermum
5) ?
6) looks very exotic and orchid like

 

5 Snail plant .... Chochliasanthus Caracalla.
6 possibly Miltonia (orchid)

 

Well done Strongy. Funnily enough I was just looking at a picture of the snail plant flower a short while ago.

I was quite tempted to start a thread on unusual looking flowers - such as Passiflora or Tibouchina with outsized sexual parts, but realised that it would be swamped by the Orchid family, where there is almost no such thing as a normal flower.
