Tidying up the garden today and realised I hadnt moved the straw from the strawberries. Can I put this in the compost bin, or should it go in the green or black bin.
    Thanks

Hi sharon,..By all means compost it. If you have a large amount, bag it up and add it a bit at a time. [IMG]

Thanks alot, I dont have too much but seemed a shame not to put it in if i could. Its taking me ages to fill the bin, but I do have some lovely black stuff at the bottom.

Thanks Kandyfloss, I just looked and its a very good site. I have just got a new compost bin and have only this week turned out the old one into the new one to get some air in it.
