hi - I read somewhere the first year I should remove the flowers and prevent fruiting so the energy goes into growing a health plant for subsequent crops.
Is this advisable /necessary anyone pls? Tia

@Lottie222 I have heard this and I did it one year but didn’t really notice any real difference but the thing I did notice was I remove runners from the main plant to extend the main plants life, then just peg one runner from each in later years to replace original plants..Hope that helps a bit..

My approach is to just grow strawberries on mass, Grow 100 strawberry plants in compact planters and dont worry about pruning/pinching them. The end result is you have an abundance of strawberries.

Since I didn't know I was supposed to be pinching them - that's kinda happened by default lol
