My entire strawberry crop was killed this year. I have about 50 plants and the whole lot developed normally then shriveled and withered just as the berries were starting to form.

At the time I thought it was because I had moved them in the winter and they suffered because of the severe frost, but now I’m not so sure. I just read some articles about strawberry diseases and looks like my crop got decimated by “Botrytis fruit rot (gray mold and blossom blight)”

I did nothing to remove the dying plants and everything remains untouched. 75pct of the plants have come back to life, others are still struggling. I have runners all over the place.

So the question is: Do I pull them all up and throw them all away? Start again with new plants? Or should I just tidy up, chop away all the leaves and hope for the best next year with the same stock in the same bed?

I can switch beds very easily as I have 4 raised beds.
