Streetwise Top Twenty.. The Urban Photo Comp #1..!!

:thumb: This is a competition for the shot in town or in urban areas.. Allot of us may live in the country, but we all go into town periodically & there are those of you who live in town, so again, something for everyone..!! :thmb:

It could be a spontaneous photo of something in the street. Maybe a function of some kind you have been to..
The sort of shot that is striking, funny, good or just plain interesting in some way... :thumb:

There is no particular theme except it must have been taken by you, in an urban environment & try & show that fact whenever possible.. Otherwise please read & follow the Guidelines below..!! :gnthb: The competition will close when we reach 20 photos & winners will go in our "End of Year Review".. :thmb:

I think this comp will offer an opportunity to all on GC, those who are regulars & those who have not yet joined in, so come & have a go.. :gnthb:


The competition is of course based on the Integrity & Honesty of the entrants first & foremost...!!


1. Comp will close at 20 photos.. Photos to have to have been taken in the last 12 months by the person submitting the photos.

2. You can enter up to five (5) pictures.

3. Give your picture a title

4. Show it is taken in urban environment wherever possible.

5. No photos previously entered in any other the GC Photo comps during the past 12 months to be used..!!..

* "Competitors are advised that they should ensure that their camera's time and date function is set correctly as EXIF data attached to most images is available to moderators and other competitors. *

6. Image to be, "as taken" .. NOT to be altered in any way OTHER than..
a) Cropping/Enlargement.
b) Insertion of text, for copyright reasons, if desired.
c) A single colour plain border only, permitted, no frames..
( use of a.b. & c. are of course optional)

Any image deemed to be altered will be deleted.. Mods decision is final.

7.Post your photos within this thread for entry into the competition. Display your photo up to full size 600x800.. No thumbnails or links please..!

8. The winner will be decided by votes by the users of the forum.

Users Vote Guidelines below:-

1. Competitors cannot vote for any of their own photographs.

2. Competitors vote on a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place basis with 1st place carrying 5 points 2nd place 3 points and 3rd place 1 point - The photograph with the most vote points wins etc 3. Competitors votes should not be cast until after the competition closes and be in before 11.59pm three days after the competition closes unless otherwise stated.

All members of the forum get a vote, not just those who've submitted pictures.
