    I just thought I would share my own favourite bird pics. They are not all close ups or rarities, just the ones I liked the best. All taken with my (old) Panasonic fz7.

      The Bittern's plumage is great camouflage in the reeds.

      Ziggy the Bittern was about 30ft away from the hide with a 12x zoom and no because we never heard it boom.

      Louise, just a bridge camera with a reasonable 12x zoom (pushed to 16)
      hand held.

      I could put a few more up if asked for but may be 10 is enough!:)

      Thanks Pal, I have put these pics up before so I wasn't sure whether to or not. I must admit I will miss the two Bird Reserves now we have moved from Weymouth but there are new bird places to explore near here.:)

        Thank Armandii, as I am having a new camera with a better zoom, I should have better pics but time will tell!!
