As it was a sunny start we went to Portland for a walk down to the Bill (again:D) but on the East side.
Looking across Weymouth Bay towards Lulworth.

Lots of Wheatears around refuelling before their long sub Sahara flight.

    Boat hoists in action.

    One distant lone Guillemot.

Interesting erosion, I wonder if this joined stack will collapse or stay when the base goes.

What a lovely walk, Strongy, and great pictures. Thank you.
My sister lives in that neck of the woods and it is always beautiful to visit.

Cheers for that Strongy, always good to see bits of Portland.

Came across a dead Guillemot on Weymouth beach, daughter no 1 gasped, "Ooo, a penguin !!"

I thought there might be groans of 'not Portland again' :D
but I love it as it is so different to the mainland and great for birds.
