Well, my taters and onions came out recently, tasted wonderful, and i'm stepping up the planting operation summat rotten next year if possible.

i was just wondering if anyone can reccomend anything that i might put in my now empty grow bags for over the next few months, and where i might pick up the relevant seeds etc.

    Hi David,

A very warm welcome to the Forum.

The bags will be a bit shallow for spring Cabbage but if you have some cloches you could have a go at some mid-Winter lettuce - Winter Density, All The Year Round and Winter Crop are good ones. You could also sow some spring onions - White Lisbon is one I use.

Peas under cloches - Feltham First (but I haven't tried this one).

The more protection you can give them the better.

Have a look at Dobies, Suttons and Thompson & Morgan's web sites for your seeds and other suggestions. Don't know where you live but local gardening centres will still have seeds (they do up here in Leeds).

    Hope this helps,

    Chas.
