Been there, done that, Jools! :loll:

Daftest thing I ever put in there was a little plastic backed rug - thought it was rubber backed! :eeew:

            A variation on the theme.
I once caused a delay at the Airport because I set off the metal detector.
After pockets were empties, belt removed etc. it turned out the cause was my very comfortable shoes - I forgot they had steel toecaps!:mute:
Guess who was in trouble with OH and family?

My mother was a good old fashioned housewife.
She always turned out the pockets before putting anything in the washing (sometimes machine).
Just as well - my brothers pockets were always full of FROGS !

Your friend was lucky Greencuisinequeen. I stupidly left my phone in my pocket and put it through the washing machine last year. The screen was cloudy and I did try drying it but to no avail.:cry3:Luckily, the memory card was still okay so I was able to put it in a new phone. I shan't do that again in a hurry.

Ive laundered other people's cash and cameras, but I accept no responsibility, they should be doing their own laundry, Im no one's mother.

However my mobile phone is familiar with the bottom of toilets all over the south east.
Not being a handbag sort of girl, I keep my phone and wallet in the back pockets of my jeans. It doesnt seem to matter if they are super baggy or supper tight, the phone/ wallet ends up in the drink more than probability would suggest.I have a fair number of near misses too.

I dont even think Im exceptionally vigorous in the way I remove my er... well you know. I just think my phone likes being in water. It has long been encased in a waterproof casing so it always works, and frankly Weil's disease is more likely to get me than some phone poo related disorder.

With leaving things in pockets - one of my customers came to the till to pay, put his hand in his pocket to get his money and let out a big yell. His hand came out of his pocket with a syringe sticking out it :OUCH:. Being a drug addict tends to make you a bit stupid!! :rolleyespink: :thud:
