Oh there are lots of memory evoking clips aren't there. Here's another one we we saw, and had a giggle at recently.
Only watched the chocolate bar video but half of those I dont ever remember. I do remember the old Frys five centres but my favourite in the 60 and 70s was Picnic with peanuts covered in chocolate, then some bright spark decided it needed raisins as well and it went down the pan in a couple of years. My Mum worked at Sharps/Trebor in the 60s and they made a bar called Whisper I think, we used to get freebies, along with loads of other sweets, mostly rejects but they still tasted the same.
I remember Aztec bars and never know why they were discontinued, I used to like them. The same for Frys 5 Centres ... The only Cabanas I remember were like giant chocolate smarties and they came in a box. And I remember chocolate bars called Five Boys. Anyone remember those ? I've still got a jumper I bought in C&A ! and I still wear it ... My mother worked in Woolworths years ago before I was born. She was a store detective and caught theaves ... she was only 4ft 10 ... She had some hillarious stories about it.
I do remember 5 boys, but I dont think I bought it much. My Mum worked in Woolworths also, before I was born, I think it was just one of those great stores and employers that we have lost. People were smaller in those days.
C&A are still going strong in Belgium, last time we were there I had to buy a belt and it was like stepping back in time.
